The location was brilliant, although quite close to the centre it was very quiet. The restaurant next door was lovely and the standard of food was vey high. My partner and I enjoyed our stay and would definitley consider this hotel in the future!

The breakfast food was reasonably priced and reasonably-priced. The room itself was neat and well-appointed with coffee, a couch, for example provided. We enjoyed the property and would stay here again;))

Located just across the road from the railway station, this hotel is convenient for those traveling by train. It is within walking distance of the station and with trains running every half-hour, quick access to the city center is possible. the rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff welcoming and helpful. the restaurant serves delicious food, including haggis and the nearby shopping center is a plus.
The hotel is far away from the main attractions, making it inconvenient for those who want to see the sights.

pros: The rooms are spacious and the onsite restaurant was useful for good evening meals at a reasonable price. The station opposite the hotel is a 5 minute walk over the road and trains to Edinburgh are regular at about £3-80 return. Just 2 stops and the journey takes around 10 minutes.
cons: Room was rather dark and the bathroom was adequate. A railway line runs a few metres from the hotel so the early goods train tends to give an early wake up call!

Great location as it was very convenient to take the train to the city center and visit all the attractions. , the nearby shopping center had a wide array of shops and restaurants to choose from. the hotel had free parking, perfect for travellers with cars.
One of the rooms we booked lacked toilet paper for two consecutive days, and though it was quickly resolved, we found this surprising. the rooms could have been cleaner, and it was a bit inconvenient not having a bathroom bin available.

Breakfast was very ordinary. Menu for meals very ordinary as well, not a lot of choice except if you like creamy sauces

Size of the room, nice shower, good location

This hotel exceeded our expectations in so many ways. the value for money was excellent, especially considering the prices of other accommodations in the area. Secondly, the staff went above and beyond to make our stay special, just like James at Ashington Premier Inn did for the honeymooning couple. Their attention to detail was remarkable, ensuring that our room was clean, tidy, and spacious. We also appreciated the easy access to the train station, making it a breeze to explore the capital city.
All was fantastic with no complaints whatsoever.

Comfortable bed
1. The smell of disinfectant (?) throughout the corridors - reminiscent of a public toilet. 2. The unrealistic and opportunistic price of wifi - something that should be seen as a marketing opportunity for Premier Inn, and not something clients perceive as a "rip off". 3. The service skills of the breakfast staff in the neighbouring hotel, their inability to engage in small talk, a feeling to hurry up go, despite "eat as much as you like" no invitation made and coffee urn ran out and not replenished. Subsequent breakfasts taken elsewhere.
